The lightest member of the explorer family, the nylon twill weighs in at 25% less than its canvas counterparts. Featuring the same strong bridle leather trims, and padded laptop pocket, zipped pockets and detachable and adjustable shoulder strap as the classic explorer, it is just as durable, spacious and versatile. The Superlight explorer is the ultimate lightweight travel holdall.

Materials
We have worked with a specialist Italian manufacturer to develop the superlight nylon twill which we are delighted to bring to our luggage range. Adding a sophisticated and slightly more formal vibe to the Explorer range, the Superlight is a two-layer bonded fabric that is washable and wipeable, significantly lighter than traditional cotton canvas and yet still extremely hardwearing (and therefore sustainably long-lasting). It has a luxurious, matt-satin natural twill feel and gentle lustre that is a thousand miles away from ‘shiny nylon’. The bags are fully lined in tough polycotton and trimmed in our smooth and glossy Atlantic leather. Flexible yet strong, it’s our tried-and-tested lightweight leather that lasts and lasts, getting better with age.

Delivery & Returns

Delivery:

We aim to dispatch all orders swiftly and in-stock items will usually be dispatched within one business day. However, please bear in mind that we handcraft all our products here at Tusting HQ and intentionally hold low volumes of finished stock. We continuously make small batches of all items in our range, and most orders are sent out within just a few days of receipt. If there will be a delay of more a week before dispatch, we'll be in touch to ask if this may be a problem for you. Please allow for extra time if you have asked for your item to be personalised.

We ship everything by express service. Orders sent within the UK should arrive on the day after dispatch, except for outlying areas, and orders sent overseas will usually arrive within a week of dispatch – often much faster. Shipping is free for UK orders; international charges vary by location. Please click here for more information.

Returns:

Extended Christmas Returns
For the festive season, we have an extended returns period. Purchases made from 05/11/24 can be returned until 17th January. Just a reminder: all other return conditions still apply (see below).

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are happy to offer a refund, exchange or replacement on all goods returned to us within 30 days of delivery, provided they are in their original, unused condition. Bespoke orders or items ordered with bespoke alterations (including personalised initials or messages) cannot be returned unless faulty. Please see our full returns policy and how-to advice here.

EXPLORER'S STORY

We first developed the Explorer holdall as a lightweight fabric travel bag with sturdy leather handles and accents. Little did we know it would become a runaway favourite with our customers! Many competitors have since tried to copy its successful formula, but only we know the secret strengths which lie within.

And now we’ve given this faithful servant a full design overhaul and uplift, built on its strengths and made it even better – with refined visuals and improved construction, its sleeker, lighter and yet even stronger. The leather bands that follow the main zip on either size now include what is known as a “flare.” Branded on one side with our logo, the other is left free for discreet monogramming. Handles have padded ‘chapes’, stitched with our signature T detail, repeated again at the side tabs. Our subtle T motif continues through to the studs on the bottom too, added to keep the bag off the ground. A new baseboard makes these holdalls lighter to carry.

Bespoke & Personalisation

All Tusting bags are hand-crafted in our Lavendon workshop. By special order, we can make your bag even more unique by personalising it, or we can create a bespoke colourway from our set of leathers. So whether it is a personalised message inside the bag, embossed initials or a special colour combination, don’t hesitate to contact us.
